That is happening in all western cities. I moved out of London, UK, because I never saw it possible to buy a house. Now I live in a medium-sized city in Andalusia, Spain and I was able finally to buy a house.

It is possible to buy houses, just not in big cities. I certainly can't afford one in Madrid or Barcelona, unless it's in a very bad area.
