Nerja And Frigiliana

I have been to Málaga and some of its most famous towns, like Marbella and Puerto Banús, many times before, but I hadn’t gone to Nerja and Frigiliana, which were on my list. Both places are just 15 minutes away by car and just a bit over two hours from where we live, Córdoba.

We were there only for the day, but we arrived the day before and stayed very close to the Nerja cave, at the Hotel Al Andalus, which is just walking distance and you can even see the entrance of the cave from outside the hotel.

After having breakfast, we headed to the cave. It’s important to book the ticket in advance if possible, unless you travel off-peak season as we did. There were not that many people that day, but probably in summer, there are a lot more visitors. Tickets are booked for a specific time slot and when you book you can see how crowded is going to be.

When we entered the cave, I was quite impressed as I didn’t expect it to be that big. You enter by going down some stairs, then you keep walking and there’s the first part (the one in the picture) that is already…
