Most people think that investing in real estate is just for wealthy people and that you need a lot of money to get started. This couldn’t be further from the truth, especially nowadays with the irruption of new ways of investing.

These are some alternatives to the traditional way of investing in real estate:

Crowdfunding

Imagine having the possibility of buying a slice of a property instead of having to pay for the full price. This is possible thanks to crowdfunding. The way this works is very simple, you invest the amount that you want and you get shares of that property.

You can invest from as little as 50€ in a variety of properties, located sometimes in big cities like London or Barcelona using platforms like Property Partner in the UK or Housers in Spain.

There are as well platforms that let you invest in real estate using cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

REIT

REIT stands for Real Estate Investment Trusts and it allows individuals to invest in large-scale, income-producing real estate.
